Holiday gifting: Mini calendars

Giving out these mini desk calendars has become a holiday tradition at work.  My co-workers love them--they're useful and don't take up much desk space, and they're relatively easy to make.  I buy the PDF from this wonderful etsy seller each year, then we head on to Kinkos to print them out on cardstock, cut them out (BK's a paper cutter master), and put them into these little clear plastic business card holders.  If you don't feel like going through all those steps, you can also just buy sets from the etsy seller.

2012 Mini Desk Calendar

These mini desk calendars make great gifts for coworkers.  I give them out every year and everyone seems to like and use them a lot.  Etsy has many wonderful sellers that you can buy them from, prepackaged and ready to go.  Or if you love to DIY, you can purchase templates, print them out and assemble them yourself. 

The template I used this year (and last) is from Lemonade Paperie--I love the little graphics and attention to detail (like the flag on the 4th of July and the four leaf clover on St. Patrick's!)

Happy Halloween!

I didn't grow up with Halloween as a holiday so the whole concept is rather strange to me.  Our neighborhood goes all out with decorations and this is the first year we've put some up as well.  It's hard to find cute Halloween decorations, especially when you're looking two days before the event.  I was gifted this great big spiderweb from a co-worker.  I'm hoping to collect more as the years go by!
