Vintage Monday: Family Artwork

Today I'd like to introduce some little pieces of artwork that we have displayed around the house.  They were all created by B's mom--who had an amazing artistic ability.  I am always in awe of those who can paint, draw, crayon, etc.  It takes a good eye for color, space and detail as well as big picture thinking.  Crafting is something I can muddle through but art is on a whole different level!

It is very precious to us to have these little pieces of art to remember his mom and to know they were made with love.

This little feisty raccoon sits at our front door nook:

This little mushroom painting is displayed in the kitchen.  It is actually a 3D sort of painting comprised of three pieces of glass where each part of the mushroom is layered on. This gives the painting some depth and really neat to look at.  Hard to explain, even more difficult to photograph!

And one of my favorites--this is in our master bathroom and a fitting self portrait of B:
